It’s hard to remember Julius Randle was a top five recruit when he came into the NBA. That feels like ages ago now. This season he has made it onto my most intriguing players list. According to the numbers, Randle is averaging career high numbers in Points, Rebounds, Assists, 3-point Field Goal percentage, and Free Throw percentage. Not only is he putting up numbers but the New York Knicks are in 6th place in the Eastern Conference right now. Putting up career numbers while also keeping the Knicks in the playoff race is a huge deal and is something for Knicks fans to get excited about. They are (3-2) over their last five games and won the last three straight. Last night Randle dropped 44 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists; while also making a career high 7 three-pointers in a win over the Atlanta Hawks. It’s not far fetched to imagine Randle being in the running for Most Improved Player or even possibly mentioned as an Allstar this season. I’m excited to see what Julius Randle 2.0 shows us next.
